A Boyfriends Past Story

In this series of stories, you will encounter attractive actors, stunning fashion models, handsome artists, a suave British aristocrat, the activist and founder of a London gay paper, and a charismatic and very persistent millionaire. Also there are some really fantastic kissers! I mean exceptionally good!

It was not my intention to end up in bed with a British lord, especially when he was someone else’s boyfriend. But I was only 24 and on my own in London, and…well…one thing lead to another. When a handsome, suave gay aristocrat with a family castle and a fabulous townhouse in Belgravia with lots of charm and lots of wine wants to cross the bounds of friendship and the buttons and zips of your clothes…and you are very young and blond and not as sophisticated as you think you are…you soon discover what happens in movies and books is not how things happen in real life. 

While the man who’d brought me to Florida was on his own adventures, I found my way to some gay dance bar. Being as shy as I generally am, I am not sure how I got to dancing with the tall cute guy. He must have asked me, because like I said, I’m shy. Drinking generally makes me even more shy. However, it happened, in the way meetups in clubs do. Attraction met attraction, and late that night, out of the club we went. With me ultimately ending up on a side street in the backseat of his car, heatedly exchanging kisses with this incredibly gorgeous college boy until dawn.

One afternoon, out of the blue, there was Peter with the smooth toned swimmers body...full lush lips, speaking of sensational kissing - in the literal meaning of sensational...and of kissing...How I met Peter Paterson was kind of cute...like a meet-cute in a movie script...It was at a old time Greenwich village gay piano bar known as The Duplex with a long bar and piano downstairs and a small cabaret space upstairs...One day I was there in there late afternoon, which was unusual, I don’t remember exactly why, killing time before meeting a friend probably.

No one at theater school knew Martin was rich, not at first, not for most of the many weeks we learned and acted together…not until after the final three act plays were performed—then Michael had a cast party. Why and how I was part of this sparkling older group, I am not sure…. Looking back, I am realizing how exceptional it was that I was included and invited along…. I was a few years younger, which can be a big difference…. I was a kind of mascot, I guess…. I was in love with Kirby and didn’t realize until later he and Martin had been lovers for a while.

Brandan Fielding looked like a tall, skinny schoolboy who’d escaped from a Dickens novel when I met him at the Salisbury, Leicester Square - a Ye Olde Pub in the book/theater district. A historic pub, the Salisbury isn't strictly gay, but at certain times it seems to have a high tide of thirsty gay men. I was charmed by its interior opulence of etched and polished glass and carved woodwork, and I was hoping there would be charming English men, too. Our eyes met in warm understanding of attraction. I learned his name was Brandan Fielding (very Dickens). 

Andrea grinned playfully when she talked about flirting with “the sandwich shop poet” as she called him. The same kind of grin I may have had when I began to flirt with him too. She had talked a lot about this really cute guy before I met him. So, he had quite a buildup in my mind, like a trailer for a movie…I was very curious to see how handsome this person was; Jamison Chevy, the very attractive young guy who was a waiter at Alvin’s a sandwich shop on the university campus.

On my very first afternoon of moving in to live in the grand London mansion, I wasn’t expecting to be kissed.... Well, I was by my millionaire boyfriend, but certainly not by his butler! Right in the blue dressing room, Peters, the seemingly proper English butler, kissed me full on, with tongue! I returned downstairs to my love-struck millionaire Henry Alden who was waiting for me with cocktail in hand, ready to pour one for me, which I now really needed. I didn't say anything about the kiss, I had only just arrived and I certainly didn’t want to begin by causing a scene.

It is a risky romantic gamble to get together with someone who has been a friend for years…but then again, sometimes the circumstances are such that suddenly you find yourself exchanging luscious kisses and the romance roulette wheel is spinning….Before I first met Douglas I was told he was an Angel. Looked like an Angel… My painting instructor had him in her class and she was giving me a ride to college and as we got close beside the art museum, without taking her hands off the wheel of the car she nodded toward the tall, slender, very blond youth.
