A religious zealot and follower of Malleus, the King has decreed that a new wave of inquisitions must begin. He created the Hex Breakers, an elite division of witch hunters to root out the plague of magic in his lands.

Kate Morgan has tried to remain under the radar since her mother’s arrest and execution. By day she works at the Caer Chronicle, and by night she runs an informational blog for the Red Dragon Movement, an organization working to take down the Dread King’s regime. She keeps her nose down and trusts no one with the truth.

When a powerful explosion rocks the Chronicle, Kate finds her world turned upside down. Though her boss is arrested for the incident, she finds herself at the center of the magical world that she thought she had left behind. With the help of her new friends and coven, Kate will embark on a journey to power and destiny.
