Convinced of the superiority of his so-called “scientific” mind, Doctor Daniel Hobbes, of Her Majesty’s Royal Society, investigates supernatural creatures and cryptozoological phenomena during the Victorian age. Whether providing mermaids with artificial legs or a plesiosaur with an electric and steam-powered prosthetic steel jaw, capturing and dissecting fairies, or isolating naiads from their natural habitat, Dr. Hobbes brings egoism, hubris, and bloody-mindedness to every investigation, to the detriment of all those around him.
