Dragonhammer Saga

Ninety years ago, the dwarves of the Dragonhammer Clan were driven from their ancestral home. Now, a small band from a new generation, raised in exile among humans, are mounting a venture to retake it. These young dwarves aren't fools. They don't have an army. They don't even know the old ways. Led by the young heir to the clan, Genrik Dragonhammer, they seek to carve out a foothold within a nearby mountain, rebuild the clan's strength, and eventually drive out the goblins that have settled in the city their ancestors built.

With their outpost secure, the newly crowned king of the Dragonhammer dwarves finds himself more concerned with trade and infrastructure than conquest. The failed invasion weakened their enemies, and the dwarves have graciously declined to counterattack. After all, the Dragonhammer Clan sees the monument to their dead every day. But the goblins can't afford to leave well enough alone. Desperate for resources only available within the dwarven-controlled region, they try to barter. And when the dwarves refuse to deal with their enemies, the goblins resort to theft.

The city of Skrasforge is thriving, but the goblins who'd lived there before the dwarves weren't feeling so lucky. Downtrodden and indentured to a band of trolls, they owe a debt that will not be easily repaid. The Empress of the trolls wants her tribute, and if the goblins can't pay, they'll serve in her army to take what she's owed. And she plans to take it from Skrasforge.
