As long as its dark keepers remain on our side. Part One: The Eater: Paul Marrane is a forever man cursed with the bite that never heals. The hunger that never ends. Ambushed outside a honky tonk in Lake Worth, Texas, Paul is taken to the deep underground bunker of Gate 4 where the secrets of his past and the purpose of the gate intersect.

Billy Monroe is a shadow man who lives hidden in the forest with his young sister Susie. Billy wears many masks to convey his moods to his sister and to conceal the monster that can barely restrain its appetite for human flesh. A brilliant scientist before the lab explosion that killed him and then brought him back as a blue specter of death, Billy is hunted by Lucas Glover and Paul Marrane. They must risk everything to reach the man trapped in the deranged mind of an unstoppable zombie. 

A road buddy from Paul Marrane's past creates an army of zombies at a commune near Boyd, Texas. Mr. Blickenderfer digs up a new threat for the gate. Billy Monroe discovers a horrifying connection between the lab accident that killed him and the energy emitting from Gate 4.

At a quiet Honky Tonk on the night of a dark anniversary, Dunlavey discusses his journey to Gate 4 with a dead companion. The Rose Man makes a move. A familiar duo is recruited. 

Now a part of Gate Four, the cursed slackers Cecil and Bubba are sent in to flush out the god of the woods. The Rose Man torments Billy Monroe. Mr. Blickenderfer brings the hunter to life. Dunlavey confronts Binh Pham. 

After a mid-season break, Gate 4 returns with a bloody bang! Part 6: "From a Place Hell Fears" picks up where Part 5 ended. Part 6 is a double-sized episode. Lucas' first two encounters with the demon known as the Car Nex are recounted. Dunlavey's actions in Binh Pham's cell drives a wedge between him and Lucas. Paul Marrane and Dottie Tenner are affected in a strange way by Hattie Mae Reynold's charms. Billy Monroe's newfound sanity is tested. Blickenderfer finds The Rose Man. Dreg meets a kindred monster.
