The bloodiest week New Orleans has known since the massacre of the Italians in 1892 was ushered in Monday, July 24 by the inexcusable and unprovoked assault upon two colored men by police officers of New Orleans.

This is the bizarre and shocking story of Marshall Daniels. The odd deaths of celebrities and public authorities have sparked widespread interest across the nation. When Marshall joins a secret blood society, he quickly ties the disappearance to his new group. Whether he's ready or not, the intelligent young man is propelled into a position of authority for which he is dreadfully unprepared. When he meets the love of his life, it forces him to make a hard decision.

The story is about a gossipy woman finding out that being a "good Christian" is indeed a 24 hour job.
