Peter and Abigail were childhood sweethearts whose parents did not approve of their spending time together, yet allowed it to happen due to their childrens devout ways and promise of innocence until marriage. Many years pass, and their love for each other grows with every passing year. What started out as knowing glances and cute conversations grew into hand-holding and long conversations of commitment and love.

Sara Miller is reeling after the return to the Amish community of the man she hoped to marry. But Zeke Breneman is a shell of the person she fell in love with, and he harbors a shameful secret that has driven him back to his roots. This is a story about a young Amish couple who had planned to get married when they were permitted to do so. One horrible lie told by a young woman throws the entire community into chaos and splits Jacob and Grace Ella apart. It's only when the woman confesses that things may start to be pulled together once again. The only problem is, unable to stand all of the changes in her life now that she cannot be with Jacob, Grace Ella runs off and the brothers of both families set out to find her.
