This work is intended to stand unto itself as more a living, breathing portrait of art painted with carefully chosen words, than just as a really interesting story told. The intent here is for the listener to view the landscape through the eyes of the main character, to feel what he does as he ambles along in this adventure. When the main character feels the pain and pleasures of the old dirt road, then all will only be right if the listener feels these same identical experiences.

Ulysses is a modernist novel by Irish writer James Joyce. It was first serialized in parts in the American journal The Little Review from March 1918 to December 1920 and then published in its entirety in Paris by Sylvia Beach on February 2, 1922, on Joyce's 40th birthday.
