I don't know whether this is the story of Jeff the autistic individual, Jeff the man of God, or Jeff the medical enigma; but I do know it is the story of Jeff, my son. Jeff was so autistic, and yet not autistic at all if you used the textbook definition. He had huge sensory integration issues and appeared to be living inside of himself, but he cared so much for God and other people that their needs always came above his own. He had severe speech issues, only spoke one-word answers, but wrote beautiful papers and prayers when given the Canon communicator.

Julie Schwartz introduces listeners to her son Joel David Schwartz, who lived with Autism Spectrum Disorder and died by accidental overdose at age 25. Autism and BPD are two conditions that affect every aspect of my life. I wouldn't be who I am if I were not autistic and did not have BPD. Within this book, you will listen to the struggles I've had to go through, from growing up, to confusing teenage years, to challenges in adulthood. You will also listen about the good times I've had in my life, and my reasons for carrying on when I was at my lowest. Some of the content within this book may be triggering, but if it helps just one person, it would have been worth it. I hope you enjoy listening to my story.
