On the seventy-fifth anniversary of Kristallnacht comes this untold story of a teenager whose act of defiance would have dire international consequences. On the morning of November 7, 1938, a seventeen-year-old Jewish refugee, Herschel Grynszpan, walked into the German embassy in Paris and in an act of desperation assassinated Ernst vom Rath, a low-level Nazi diplomat. He did it, he said, out “of love for my parents and for my people.”

This is the true story of one boy's journey through Anneewakee Boys' Wilderness Camp. Anneewakee opened in 1962 as a treatment center for troubled boys and was essentially shut down in the late 80s amidst allegations of physical and sexual abuse. There are many traumatized to this day by what they endured at the treatment center and also those who credit it with saving their lives.

When I opened my office in Archer Street, Piccadilly, London, business was very slow. I then started booking all the beat clubs and coffee bars in Soho. But the business only became a success when I focused my efforts on colleges and universities. I then formed College Entertainments Ltd. I was managing director until 1972 when I married the love of my life. That is when I sold the company after enjoying 12 hectic years of rock music success.
