When the Aldens visit their friend Fran in Wisconsin, they can’t wait to hear her tell the story of the runaway ghost. Fran’s family ghost hasn’t been spotted in years, but the Aldens still shiver at the spooky tale of the ghost’s bell clanging after dark. Then, Violet hears a mysterious ringing in the middle of the night, and the children start to wonder—could the runaway ghost be back?

When their friend Sam gets a letter full of riddles from an eccentric millionaire, the Aldens are eager to help him crack the code. If Sam can solve the puzzle, he will inherit the millionaire's money! But Sam isn't the only one in town to receive a letter - and whoever solves the mystery first will win the prize!

The Boxcar Children learn lots of interesting things about the Navajos - but best of all is a legend about an ancient Native American village that once existed nearby. Curious, the children begin digging there and uncover some valuable artifacts. But it seems someone wants the village to stay buried!

Cakes! Decorations! Party games and favors! The Alden children are having fun helping out at neighborhood birthday parties. But then a house is robbed - its hidden safe emptied - while Jessie, Henry, Benny, and Violet are downstairs entertaining. When a second safe is robbed during a party, the Boxcar Children decide to solve the mystery.

The lodge is having its annual winter carnival, and the Boxcar Children sign up to compete in events like skiing, skating, sledding, and building snow and ice sculptures. But no sooner has the competition begun than the children have a mystery to solve!

The Aldens are helping out at Penny's Emporium, a novelty shop in the mall. But soon everything starts to go wrong! Merchandise disappears, and doors start locking mysteriously. What's going on at the Hope Harbor Mall?

The Boxcar Children love exploring the train, watching the beautiful scenery from the observation car, and eating in the dining car. But the train ride gets really interesting when they meet a young woman who has had something very valuable stolen from her.

The Aldens are helping their grandfather organize Greenfield's Winter Festival. When the Boxcar Children get a roll of photos developed, they find a secret message hidden in one of them. They are baffled, and things become even more mysterious when they realize that someone is trying to ruin the Winter Festival by tearing down the decorations and stealing a local statue! There must be a connection between the message and everything that is going wrong.

The children are attending Camp Coral, where they learn about the ocean and all the things in it - coral, fish, dolphins, and other sea creatures. They find a beautiful hidden beach, but then learn that it holds a terrible secret. Once again, the Boxcar Children must come to the rescue!

The Aldens are visiting the Alamo with their grandfather. They arrive at the Alamo to find that a movie is being made there - and they are going to be in it. But then things start to go wrong on the movie set, and a priceless ring from the Alamo Museum disappears. Are the two things connected? It is up to the Boxcar Children to solve this new puzzle

The Boxcar Children have a chance to be in a real play - The Wizard of Oz! Jessie is chosen for the Cowardly Lion. Benny will play a munchkin. Even Watch has a part and all the Aldens are helping with the show. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Someone makes a threatening phone call and a costume is destroyed. Maybe the show won’t go on - unless the Boxcar Children can solve the mystery before opening night!

When the Aldens hear that Mr. Wood's cat Spotzie is missing, they immediately help out by putting up "LOST CAT" posters and going door-to-door with a photograph of the cat. But along the way, they meet some strange characters, receive frightening phone calls, and even find a cat that looks just like Spotzie - but is it? It seems that the more they search, the more mysterious the mystery becomes!

The Alden children are staying at the home of a famous inventor known for her one-of-a-kind clocks. The clocks sound loudly at every hour, especially at midnight! But the clocks aren’t the only noise. Is the house haunted by the ghost of the inventor? The Aldens are determined to find out!

But then strange things start to happen, and it looks like someone else wants to find the treasure - and keep it! Can the Boxcar Children stop the thief before the next hurricane hits?

When the Aldens go to their favorite Chinese restaurant, Benny can’t wait for the delicious fortune cookies! But when he opens his cookie, he finds a handwritten riddle! One cookie leads to another, and the Aldens soon realize they’ve bitten into another mystery!

The zoo is wonderful—it has seals and giraffes and elephants and tigers, and Benny's favorite, a little monkey named Amos. It also has a mystery. Someone is mixing up signs, switching off electricity, and endangering the animals' lives. If the Boxcar Children want to save the animals, they'll have to solve the mystery—and fast!

The Aldens are helping to map out a new trail on Blizzard Mountain. As they travel through the frozen wilderness, they learn that there’s treasure buried somewhere on the mountain! The children begin to search for it, but someone or something is after them. Is Blizzard Mountain haunted, or is someone after the treasure?

The Boxcar Children are going to a dog show. They meet all kinds of dogs, from a spotted Dalmatian to a big, hairy sheepdog. But then strange things start happening at the dog show, and no one knows why. Can the children solve the mystery and save the day?

Jack and Charlie Davis, along with a new companion, Jimmy Ardana, are part of the Allied effort to stop the Japanese at Port Moresby in May 1942. But the Allies have received little in the way of reinforcements, and the only fighter available to face the Japanese Zero is the difficult to handle Bell P-39. Charlie flies dangerous reconnaissance missions to determine the location of the Japanese Navy. Jack, supposedly on his way home to the States, is diverted to be a flight commander in the 8th Fighter Group at Port Moresby.

The Alden children are going back in time by helping at an old Victorian house that has been turned into a museum. But rumor has it that the place is haunted by the spirit of practical joker Horace Wagner! Is there really a ghost?
