It’s an unusual winter vacation for the Alden family when a huge snowstorm traps them in the woods! Luckily, the log cabin where they’re staying is cozy - only there are strange noises in the night and a mysterious code carved into the closet door. The rescue is a long wait for the Boxcar Children, but the cabin is full of secrets.

When the Boxcar Children help out in a local garden, they dig up one strange thing after another! First, the tomato plants seem to move every day. How can that be? Then the Aldens follow the clues to an unsolved bank robbery, and it's clear that a very big mystery is growing in Greenfield.

But legend says the stone gargoyles guarding the roof of the old building will do anything to protect it - even fly. When the creatures begin appearing outside the windows, people are terrified. But the Boxcar Children think there is another reason the gargoyles are turning up in places they shouldn't. And they're determined to figure it out.

When their friend Sam gets a letter full of riddles from an eccentric millionaire, the Aldens are eager to help him crack the code. If Sam can solve the puzzle, he will inherit the millionaire's money! But Sam isn't the only one in town to receive a letter - and whoever solves the mystery first will win the prize!

The Boxcar Children learn lots of interesting things about the Navajos - but best of all is a legend about an ancient Native American village that once existed nearby. Curious, the children begin digging there and uncover some valuable artifacts. But it seems someone wants the village to stay buried!

Cakes! Decorations! Party games and favors! The Alden children are having fun helping out at neighborhood birthday parties. But then a house is robbed - its hidden safe emptied - while Jessie, Henry, Benny, and Violet are downstairs entertaining. When a second safe is robbed during a party, the Boxcar Children decide to solve the mystery.

The lodge is having its annual winter carnival, and the Boxcar Children sign up to compete in events like skiing, skating, sledding, and building snow and ice sculptures. But no sooner has the competition begun than the children have a mystery to solve!

The Boxcar Children love exploring the train, watching the beautiful scenery from the observation car, and eating in the dining car. But the train ride gets really interesting when they meet a young woman who has had something very valuable stolen from her.

The Aldens are helping their grandfather organize Greenfield's Winter Festival. When the Boxcar Children get a roll of photos developed, they find a secret message hidden in one of them. They are baffled, and things become even more mysterious when they realize that someone is trying to ruin the Winter Festival by tearing down the decorations and stealing a local statue! There must be a connection between the message and everything that is going wrong.

The Aldens are visiting the Alamo with their grandfather. They arrive at the Alamo to find that a movie is being made there - and they are going to be in it. But then things start to go wrong on the movie set, and a priceless ring from the Alamo Museum disappears. Are the two things connected? It is up to the Boxcar Children to solve this new puzzle

The Boxcar Children have a chance to be in a real play - The Wizard of Oz! Jessie is chosen for the Cowardly Lion. Benny will play a munchkin. Someone is trying to ruin the rally, and the Boxcar Children might not get the chance to ride in a hot air balloon after all - unless they solve the mystery in time.

The Aldens are helping to map out a new trail on Blizzard Mountain. As they travel through the frozen wilderness, they learn that there’s treasure buried somewhere on the mountain!
