Fra le favole più celebri "Il gallo e la volpe", "Il corvo e la volpe", "Il gatto e la tigre". La morte è uno degli elementi ricorrenti nelle Favole, in associazione al diritto del più forte, senza però trascurare il senso di solidarietà e di pietà verso gli infelici.
