Classic Thrillers Mystery

In Agatha Christie’s short story, “The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb,” the widow of a famous Egyptologist consults Poirot on the suspicious death of her husband and an American financier, Bleibner. The mystery takes Poirot and Hastings to Egypt to investigate the site of an archaeological dig. But who could want the two men dead? This short story originally appeared in the September 26, 1923 issue of The Sketch magazine.

Kelly Jackson, manager of the Redwood Cove Bed and Breakfast, is fond of the Doblinsky brothers, Ivan and Rudy, members of the Silver Sentinels, a crew of crime-solving senior citizens in their Northern California seaside hamlet. Its sudden reappearance is eerie, but the mystery grows much more serious when a body is found on the boat.

The story of "The Three Musketeers" continues in "The Man in the Iron Mask" but the plot is even more intricate. D’Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis return to the scene but this time each of them is fighting for completely different things. D’Artagnan remains in the service of the corrupt King Louis XIV while his "brothers" try to remove him from the throne.

"The Adventure of the Norwood Builder", one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is the second tale from The Return of Sherlock Holmes. Published in 1903, "The Adventure of the Norwood Builder" is notable for being the first Sherlock Holmes story to reference fingerprint analysis.
