Jesus’ death paid for our sins – the guilt, the death, and the punishment. Jesus does not repay the man who got ripped off when we stole from him. According to the Bible, the person who comes to the Lord in repentance is to pay the one he stole from the value of the stolen goods plus one fifth of the value. But what if it is a candy bar you took twenty years ago? The amount stolen and the time since the theft do not make it yours.

The kingdom of God possesses an extraordinary and awe-inspiring power. It is a force fueled by divine love, justice, and peace, working tirelessly to bring about a profound transformation in our world. This power becomes accessible to us through the Holy Spirit and is vividly evident in the lives of those who wholeheartedly follow Jesus Christ. Unlike a physical realm confined to a specific place, the kingdom of God exists as a spiritual reality. Within its boundaries, God's will, love, and justice reign supreme.

The earliest Christians were known not simply as believers or adherents of a new religion; they were called Followers of the Way. This title, taken from the words of Jesus Himself who declared, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life”, reflected a profound understanding of what it meant to live in relationship with Messiah. To be a Follower of the Way was not merely to agree with a set of beliefs or participate in rituals.
