Dramatized Horror

The St. Charles Players present multi-cast dramatizations of some of Edgar Allan Poe's greatest works, including The Black Cat, The System of Dr. Tarr and Prof. Fether, The Purloined Letter, and The Murders in the Rue Morgue.

There's a legend in this valley about a ghostly horseman that rides by night. There are many such legends and for schoolteacher Ichabod Crane the darkness of night holds a special fascination...and fear. For often there is truth in stories, especially ghost stories. And one fated night, Ichabod Crane will discover that the horseman of the legend is indeed... headless!

Lightning strikes the pole sending electric waves racing across dark castle walls into the laboratory and the lifeless body stitched together by a scientist called " mad " because he wants to create life in a lifeless creature. He dreams of a son, a companion, an incredible recreation of life, anything but,,,,a monster. Lightning flashes... It's alive ! But lurking in the shadows is one of the creatures of the night, one who brings chilling fear to those he encounters, a man who cannot die yet must prey upon the blood of others to prolong his doomed existence...the vampire Dracula.
