In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. On the first day of creation, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. On the second day, God separated the waters above from the waters below and created the “sky.” On the third, God made the land. On the fourth day, God made the sun, moon, and stars. On the fifth day of creation, God made all of the animals in the ocean and all of the birds in the sky. On the sixth day, God made the animals. On the seventh, God rested.
