Welcome to the realm of Nekropolis, where monsters are real. So are witches and ghosts and just about any other thing you can think of that goes bump in the night. Meet former Cleveland cop turned Zombie private eye, Matt Richter, as he is asked by a female demon to save her boyfriend from the loan sharks who’ve kidnapped him.

There's nothing like family. At least that's what people say. But when Bo and Scratch come home to Bear Creek for a long-overdue visit, Bo's family kindly invites him to turn around and leave. His old friends and neighbors turn tail and run when they see him. Next thing he knows, he's in jail for the brutal murder of two saloon girls in neighboring Cottonwood. As he and his fellow residents are menaced by a series of alarming and inexplicable incidents, Ishmael sets out to prove that it’s human trickery rather than any supernatural being behind the seemingly ghostly goings-on.
