One collection of random poetry I've written from 2006 to 2011, covering love, hate, angst, frustration, and longing of the soul. The first in a set to be released.

A book about contemporary American experience reflects on people and their experience of the natural and built environment. Scenes in the forest to library restrooms, migrant workers picking strawberries and reflections on the search for God, Sunday school teachers and children, dealing with obesity and strokes all find a place in this diverse collection about American society at the beginning of the 21st century.

Our homes are a reflection of us. They say something about ourselves, our families and who we are. This book is about growing up in my mother's house from the 1970s in the inner city of Nottingham, England. Each room in our house had a purpose, playing a part in our family life. Through the stories and poems in each chapter of the book, you can take a glimpse into each room of the house and my experiences in a large Caribbean family, from child to adult. The rooms of my mother's house may be different to yours, but they tell of belonging and becoming.

Pose Prose and Poems: My Thoughts Exactly was the first compilation of poetry and prose by Janna Hill and was copyrighted in 1998. The verses reflect the hopes, dreams, hurt, and disappointments found in the human condition.

A follow up to "I Watched Through Windows".

Thomas Roop has been fortunate enough to travel widely through his life, learning from a wide variety of cultures, traditions, and religions. These encounters inculcated and developed a love for humankind. While travelling through Denmark, he encountered and fell in love with the work of the 19th century poet, novelist, and playwright Hans Christian Anderson. The literature of T. S. Eliot, Carl Sandburg, Sylvia Plath, Maya Angelou, and others are all evident influences on Roop’s own work.

Part one of the continuing series entitled Painted Histories indexes leading figures in two significant phases of poetic expression in English literature: the Elizabethans, including William Shakespeare, John Webster and Sir Philip Sidney to the Romantic movement of the early 19th century: Lord Byron, John Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Emotions possess a formidable potency, propelling us towards extraordinary heights, yet simultaneously, they possess the ability to burden us, inflicting pain and desolation. In my concise audiobook "The Volcanic symphony of my soul," I extend an invitation into my realm, where I have traversed the entire spectrum of these sentiments. Through poetry, I reveal both instances of delight and those of heartache. A few verses may evoke a grin, while others might delve into the profound realms of despair.
