About 1,000 years ago, the great Indian pandit and yogi, Dipamkara Shrijnana (Atisha), was invited to Tibet to reestablish the Buddhadharma which had been suppressed and corrupted for almost two centuries. So, why a reprint of a book over 135 years old when there are so many reprints and new editions of the text? Excellent question and one I will endeavor to answer here. Since it is our goal to find and reprint spiritual classics on the verge of falling into the vast abyss, we came upon reference to this work while reading Lifting the Veil by Lillian Dewaters and The Sickle by William W. Walter.

This book, as well as the predecessor, The Sickle, have more or less been artificially suppressed for nearly 100 years. Now is the time for these volumes to be made available to the general public and those seeking the truth. As Walter states in the preface of The Sickle, these books are not for the trifler or those on a casual search. The journey is well worth the effort and the time is right with the expanding of human consciousness worldwide to reintroduce these volumes into the collective consciousness.
