Welcome to the planet of Wyrd. Long ago a race known only as the 'Ordu' brought Order to a planet of Chaos. Now the two forces are locked in an eternal struggle for power. A select few are given full access to a System meant to empower beings of Order. However, not all who are born into this world have that special something, called a 'Spark' by the locals, to be Awoken and live the life of an Adventurer.

A clock hangs over the head of every mortal. Counting down to the inescapable day that the Goddess of Death claims them. That is the way of the world. The natural cycle of mortals. The Gods, however, were said to live for forever. To exist so far outside of the natural laws of the universe that even their crimes can't be punished. But Knell Coba, at great cost, realizes this is nothing but another lie.

They have risen to the level of the elites, and that means those threats have noticed them. Because on Davrar, Nathan is sure of one thing.

It certainly doesn't feel like that to Clyde, who's still got a day job scraping mud (at least he hopes it's mud) out of monster pits. He's the only one with proof that could save the man, and take down an entire network of corrupt nobles, evil slavers, and power-hungry despots.
