Die alte Frau Angelo hat Sorgen. Sie verkauft zwar das beste Eis der Stadt, aber jetzt ist Winter und die Leute trinken höchstens einen Espresso bei ihr. Wenn überhaupt. Denn seitdem gegenüber der Eisdiele eine Baustelle knattert, kommen nicht einmal mehr die Espressotrinker. Frau Angelo verkündet, dass sie die Eisdiele für immer schließen muss. Zum Glück gibt es die Zwillinge Pit und Anna Metternich, die den Laden unbedingt retten wollen. Dabei spielen Foxtrott und Äpfel eine nicht unbedeutende Rolle, genau wie eine Arztpraxis für Hals, Nasen und Ohren, ein Sonnenstudio und - Vanilleeis.

Gino fährt mit seinen Eltern zu Opa. Die Fahrt im Zug ist ziemlich langweilig, bis Gino eine seltsame alte Frau entdeckt. Sie strickt eine Mütze, die so grell und gelb ist, dass sie in den Augen blendet. "Die Mütze ist das Glück", behauptet die alte Frau und schenkt sie Gino. Erst glaubt er nicht, dass eine Mütze das Glück sein kann. Aber dann erlebt Gino aufregende Abenteuer mit den anderen Fahrgästen, die alle eins gemeinsam haben: Sie brauchen Glück. Und Gino mit der gelben Mütze ist tatsächlich ein Glücksbringer. Ob das bis zum Ende der Zugfahrt auch so bleibt?

In einer kurvigen Straße, fast am Ufer der Elbe, leben Frau Meyer und Robert. Frau Meyer ist 92 Jahre alt und wohnt in einem riesengroßen, uralten Haus. Bei seiner Freundin darf Robert fast immer klingeln, nur nicht in der Mittagszeit. Denn nach dem Essen ruht sie sich aus. Also muss er warten. Das fällt Robert nicht leicht. Mit Frau Meyer ist es spannend und aufregend. Robert ist es egal, dass seine Freundin nicht so gut hört oder ab und zu drei Brillen braucht. Er besucht sie fast jeden Tag, weil es mit ihr unendlich viel zu erleben und zu erzählen gibt.

Seit Lukas eine Schwester bekommen hat, hat seine Mutter ein neues Lieblingswort. Es heißt "gleich". Egal, was Lukas mit Mama machen möchte, immer bekommt er zu hören: "Gleich, Lukas, gleich". Aber Lukas will nicht warten. Zum Glück weiß er sich zu helfen und regelt seine Angelegenheiten alleine. Mama kann sich ruhig um das Baby kümmern, während Lukas badet, Kuchen backt oder Schuhe putzt und sogar Mama bei ihrer Arbeit hilft. Nicht alles klappt wie bei Mama, aber Lukas ist einfallsreich und hartnäckig. Mama muss höchstens hinterher ein bisschen aufräumen.

Lotta ist entsetzt. Alles dreht sich nur noch ums neugeborene Baby. Sie hat man vergessen. Ganz klar, der Störenfried muss weg! Freund Felix weiß Rat: Das Baby wird eingetauscht. Doch niemand will tauschen. Ein besserer Plan muss her. Das Baby wird im Wagen vorm Supermarkt einfach verloren, neue Eltern wird es finden. Da schleicht sich bei Lotta und Felix etwas ein, womit sie nicht gerechnet haben. Nämlich die Verantwortung für ein so hilfloses Wesen, das viel zu klein ist, um zu begreifen, dass es stört.

Vollkommen schwerelos sieht es aus, wie die rosa Fische in Alberts Aquarium auf- und abschweben. Das wäre was, so schweben zu können, denkt Albert, wenn er ihnen dabei zusieht. Da bekommt seine Schwester Anne ein Kleid zum Geburtstag, auf dem ausgerechnet Fische sind. Natürlich ist es nicht einfach ein Kleid aus dem Kaufhaus. Tante Gine hat es genäht und wenn Anne das Kleid anhat, dann ist es, als würde sie darin durch den Raum schweben. Es muss himmlisch sein, so ein Kleid zu tragen... ob Albert das Kleid einmal ausleihen und auch darin schweben darf?
