Esta obra recoge el resultado de las conferencias de introducción impartidas por Freud entre 1915 a 1917. Si bien hay muchas otras obras que recogen lo expuesto aquí, consideramos que al ser estas conferencias dirigidas a un publico ajeno a la psicología y al psicoanálisis, puede ser de fácil aproximación para un lector casual.
