In this tale, a powerful witch attempts to control others’ perception of the world and subjugates a baby boy and baby girl to different experiments, attempting to gain knowledge and power. These two young people grow into opposites and must learn to conquer their fears and rejoice in the differences of others in order to become whole again.

"The Goose Girl" is a German fairy tale from the collection of the Brothers Grimm. It was first published in 1815 as no. 3 in vol. 2 of the first edition of their Children's and Household Tales - Grimms' Fairy Tales). Since the second edition, published in 1819, The Goose Girl has been recorded as tale no. 89. The story was first translated into English by Edgar Taylor in 1826, then by many others, e.g. by an anonymous community of translators in 1865, by Lucy Crane in 1881, by LucMargaret Hunt in 1884, etc.

"The Little Match Girl" (Danish: Den Lille Pige med Svovlstikkerne, meaning "The little girl with the matchsticks") is a short story by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen. The story, about a dying child's dreams and hope, was first published in 1845. It has been adapted to various media, including an animated short film, a television musical, and an animated virtual reality story called "Allumette". On a cold New Year's Eve, a poor, young girl tries to sell matches in the street.

On New Year’s Eve, a small, poor girl walks in the darkness and cold trying to sell her matches. Hungry and frozen, she curls up in a nook and lights her matches in search for warmth. Looking into the glow of the matches, she is transported far, far away from the hunger and the cold.

Venskabsprinsessen Twilight Sparkle rejser til Krystalslottet for at deltage i sit allerførste prinsessetopmøde. Canterlot High og Crystal Prep Academy arrangerer den allerførste Canter-Crys videnskabsfestival og forskningskonkurrence sammen. Twilight Sparkle elsker naturvidenskab, men hun er nervøs over at skulle møde sine tidligere klassekammerater igen. Det er hun i hvert fald indtil hun finder ud af, at hun er sat sammen med Rising Star, en ny, dejlig dreng fra Crystal Prep. Twilight bliver fortryllet af ham, mens de skaber en festhumør-modifikator, men Flash Sentry, Sunset Shimmer og resten af hendes venner mistænker Rising Star for at have skumle planer.
