Great Dystopian

In the world of Altadas, there are no more human births. The Regime is replacing the unborn with demons, while the Resistance is trying to destroy a drug called Hope that the demons need to survive. Between these two warring factions lies Jacob, a man who profits from smuggling contraceptive amulets into the city of Blackout. He cares little about the Great Iron War, but a chance capture, and an even more accidental rescue, embroils him in a plot to starve the Regime from power.

The Regime is on the hunt, forcing the Resistance to take refuge aboard the Lifemaker, an advanced submarine that houses a special cargo: a handful of women who can still give birth to human children. Locked inside his tin can prison, Jacob can no longer escape his role in the Great Iron War. He's forced to face life as a father, life as a soldier, and life beneath the deep blue sea. More than anything, he's forced to face himself.

The Resistance races against time to complete the missile-launcher known as the Hometaker, capable of opening a gateway to the land the Regime came from, and exposing the Iron Emperor for all the evils he's done. Everything rests on the secrecy of the mission, but from day one, tongues are wagging. With no time left on the clock, General Rommond is forced to make an audacious plan: finish the construction of the Hometaker on the move, driving straight towards the enemy, who've assembled in unimaginable force. The Great Iron War is coming to an end.

The Resistance has barely nursed its wounds from the recapture of Blackout, and now it's looking to another tougher target: the massive steam-powered railway gun known as the Landquaker, the sentry gun of the formidable Iron Wall. To conquer this rail-mounted cannon, Jacob and company turn to old allies and new friends, from the land-loving tribes to the land-roving biker gangs. They'll need every soldier they can muster.

This book explores the reality suggesting that, in fact, none of what is happening across the globe is happening by chance. Right under humanity’s nose, supranational organizations such as the United Nations, the Club of Rome, and Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum strive to usurp national sovereignties in the quest for a dystopian future.

Over the years while writing, directing, and acting at radio theater workshops and in the Mark Time Radio Show performances at Minneapolis' CONvergence science fiction conventions, Brian Price and Jerry Stearns found that they shared a love for classic Beat poetry, Lord Buckley, and prose poems, so they started doing some of their own. This is a collection of their unique hybrid of humor, music, character, and performance.
