Von ehemaligen Mitarbeitern wird dieses Bild sorgfältig gepflegt. Unabhängig überprüfen ließ es sich bislang nicht, da fast alle einschlägigen Unterlagen vernichtet wurden. Doch nun muss die Geschichte des deutsch-deutschen Geheimdienstkrieges neu geschrieben werden.
