God promised His land to the Jewish people as an everlasting possession as part of an eternal covenant He made with their forefather, Abraham. After two exiles and centuries of dispersion, millions of Jewish people have been drawn back to the land—and since the establishment of the modern State of Israel on May 14, 1948, millions of Christians have been welcomed as pilgrims to experience it for themselves.
