How did we choose the words that you should know first? We interviewed Italian natives and let them speak about the subject of their choice. We then selected a minute and a half of these conversations and isolated every word pronounced, classifying them into basic, primary, and secondary vocabulary. In the basic list, we put all the words that appear systematically in every conversation. Table, crayon-pencil, or avion-airplane would be included in the primary vocabulary list, but not in the basic vocabulary list where you will find words like: for, that, what, I, of, in, am.

The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Croatian. These units contain Reading Lessons designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent.

There are 3 varieties of standard Finnish: "kirjakieli" or “book language” which is used in official documents, official speeches and the daily news; "yleiskieli" or “standard language” which is taught in schools - formal and correct, though more relaxed than the "book language"; and "puhekieli" or "spoken language" which is a frequently changing, more casual variety used in everyday conversation. This course teaches the standard Finnish language, "yleiskieli."

These three audio courses are aimed to break down the speaking barrier and to master the vocabulary required in typical situations. All the words and expressions are recorded with translations, which enables easier use of the courses and allows for faster mastery and consolidation of the material. A Reading Booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format. This is effective learning, easy and available to everyone. Each lesson contains: Listen: learning of the words and phrases needed to conduct conversations; Repeat: repeating and consolidating of whole sentences and questions in various situations; Speak: answering questions and independent formation of sentences while following the teacher's instructions.
