De senaste decennierna har forskningen gjort många upptäckter kring medeltidens gränsöverskridande kvinnor. I den här boken möter vi dels vanliga bondhustrur, dels ledare och konstnärer, läkare och predikanter, härförare, fotsoldater och andra kvinnor som valde en annorlunda väg.
