Metaphysics Philosophy

The Metaphysical Club was an informal group that met in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1872, to talk about ideas. Its members included Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., future associate justice of the United States Supreme Court; William James, the father of modern American psychology; and Charles Sanders Peirce, logician, scientist, and the founder of semiotics. The Club was probably in existence for about nine months. No records were kept. The one thing we know that came out of it was an idea - an idea about ideas. This book is the story of that idea.

When dealing with metaphysics and the paranormal, there are no degrees or certified experts. Each person writing on these subjects has developed their expertise through their experiences, personal research, and learning over many years. This compilation combines six books of mine into one compendium: Enlightenment for Newbies; Removing Illusions to Find True Happiness; Immortality: A History and How-to Guide; Prophecy: A History and How-to Guide; Using the Scientific Method to Study the Paranormal; and God Like Powers & Abilities.

The basic principles that Bergson articulates, especially his way of thinking about reality as a dynamic process and his view of human beings as creative and evolving, should be helpful to anyone who seeks to go beyond simply dealing with the practical demands of daily life and consider the nature of things.
