The New Book of Christian Martyrs commemorates those modern-day heroes. In this update to Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, Johnnie Moore and Jerry Pattengale highlight key martyrs of past centuries and feature stories of contemporary martyrs around the world. Through tears, Johnnie and Jerry offer this compendium of heroes from the first century to the twenty-first century, from Europe to Africa and from Asia to the Americas, to inspire Christians around the globe.

The messages in this book were given as the last of a series of meetings called leadership courses for the people of God in Cameroon. At the time of preparing the messages I felt that I owed it to the Lord and his people to say all that was on my heart in case it was not possible for the audience to hear me in the future. I thought I should say my last word to the Church. Here it is. I have borrowed extensively from the thoughts of Watchman Nee in writing the message “The Cross and Our Priorities.” I believe that the Cross is central in the life and ministry of the believer.

The enemy would like nothing more than to thwart Christians’ destiny. This book will help believers stand against those attacks and break free of harassing spirits they may have unwittingly allowed in their lives.

Here’s my story… a kid from Southern California who got caught in the wave of the Jesus Revolution…married a beautiful girl from Hawaii…moved to Uganda as missionaries…had three sons…made mistakes but found God always merciful….
