This book is a collection of The Journey (my walk), The Fight (my struggles, my trials), and The Win (my victories). Life happens. That's a given. This book will help you understand to not give in to the storm. Not to accept defeat. To not give up and bow down to the storm. But to dig deep and fight through the storm. The winds have changed. It's time for us to adjust our sails so the storm won't destroy us naturally and spiritually.

In April 2014 Mark Horrell went on a mountaineering expedition to Nepal, hoping to climb Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, which shares a base camp and climbing route with Mount Everest. But when a devastating avalanche swept across the Khumbu Icefall, he got more than he bargained for. Suddenly he found himself witnessing the greatest natural disaster Everest had ever seen.

Pond Mountain Tales recalls experiences of the author during his 11-year stay at Pond Mountain, a 200-acre farm, with his first wife, their three sons, and eight dogs. Close encounters with snakes, blue herons, geese, turkeys, and vultures were a daily experience. Three lakes teeming with fish framed a story of the author's fishing parties for claimants in one of his settlements. A parody of point and counterpoint between a famous plaintiff lawyer and a chemical manufacturer is also featured.
