Considered one of Zane Grey's best novels, The Vanishing American was originally published in serialized form in the Ladies Home Journal in 1922. It reveals Grey's empathy for the Native American and his deep concern for the future survival of that culture.

Legend of the Shaman is the third book in the Wyakin Trilogy. It continues with the tale of Cortez Modrables, as he continues his life as shaman/healer to a non-treaty band of Nez Perce Native Americans during their tragic conflicts with the US government over the lands of the Northwest in the 1870s. Cortez was intimately involved with the famed trek of the Nez Perce from Idaho Territory to British North America (Canada).

Mi Sangre: Part I is a historical novel of people and a family struggling through life in late 19th- and early 20th-century Mexico and South Texas. Most of what you will listen to are actual events told with a certain degree of liberty in the details. In essence, it is historical fiction. Nevertheless, most of the stories are true events passed down in the oral tradition of Native Americans.
