When Sherlock and Dr. Watson visit a bank branch close to their apartment, they involuntarily slither into a robbery. The perpetrator ends up taking hostages and threatens to shoot them if he is not given an escape vehicle.

Even though the deceased was heavily armed with a medieval axe, he himself died from severe wounds. Holmes offers a surprising conclusion.
