I vangeli sinottici (dal greco syn, "insieme", e opsis, "visione") sono i tre vangeli di Matteo, Marco e Luca. Vengono chiamati così perché se si mette il testo dei tre vangeli su tre colonne parallele, in uno sguardo d'insieme (sinossi) si notano facilmente molte somiglianze nella narrazione, nella disposizione degli episodi evangelici, a volte anche nei singoli brani, con frasi uguali o con leggere differenze.
