New Crime

The audiobook begins after the leader of a criminal gang learns from the media about the success of a team of Neanderthals who are helping the cops find and capture criminals. He decides to create a criminal gang of six Neanderthals by obtaining Neanderthals who have been raised to be part of a workforce by the same robot company that provided the cops with their team. The gang leader and his associate will then train these new recruits to commit crimes, such as robberies and hits for revenge.

The book begins when the owner of a company that uses robots for production and shipping learns about the first group of neanderthals. The owner enlists the help of two scientists to bring back more neanderthals through cloning to replace the robots in order to reduce costs. Soon, he has a workforce of neanderthals. Ten years later, after this operation has been running successfully in secret, some detectives find out about the neanderthals and they visit the owner with unique proposal.

This new edition provides extensive commentary on the literary figures, such as Baudelaire, Swinburne, J.K. Huysmans, Mallarmé, Arthur Symons and Théophile Gautier, who formed Wilde's literary circle and, in some senses, underpinned his overconfidence in the shield of Art to protect him from the sword of social morality.
