In the 1970s, many campus radicals raised in Christian homes brought neo-Marxist ideas from college back to church with them. At first, figures like Jim Wallis, Ron Sider, and Richard Mouw made great gains for their progressive evangelical cause. But, after the defeat of Jimmy Carter, the religious right stole the headlines. Today, a new crop of mainstream evangelicals has taken up the cause of the New Left, whether they know it or not.

The Quran speaks of living with each other on a footing of love, kindness, mercy and mutual consultation between husband and wife. It also addresses those times when the atmosphere is strained. This paper examines the issue of marital discord with a deep sensitivity to the perspective of women. Criticizing an approach to the Quran that is misogynistic rather than emancipatory the paper moves the debate forward by introducing an alternative interpretation of the Qur'anic text dealing with the issue of marital discord.

Human progress has been haphazard and inefficient, driven by chance and marred by wasteful use of resources, conflict, and suffering. Today, billions still live in poverty, and we face existential threats from global catastrophic risks such as climate change, nuclear war, AI mismanagement, and pandemics. The current global order lacks the coordination needed to tackle these threats effectively. This is not acceptable. Humanity's potential is immense, and it is far too soon for us to face our end without striving for more.

It goes on upwards. The moment is rare because it happens only when meditation has reached ripening, maturity, when you have touched your innermost core." The vertical line opens a door to eternity.

Osho responds to a question addressing the fear of intelligence: "The first and the most important part of intelligence is innocence. That's why you felt terrible - because in the world innocence and intelligence have been divided, not only divided but put diametrically opposite to each other. If intelligence remains innocent it is the most beautiful thing possible, but if it is against innocence then it is simply cunningness and nothing else; it is not intelligence."

The qualities of a seeker of truth are the subject question of this talk by Osho. "Every child is born with an innate search for truth. It is not something learned or adopted later on in life. Truth simply means, 'I am, but I do not know who I am.' And the question is natural - 'I must know the reality of my being. It is not a curiosity.'"
