When the SaLeen conquered Earth, I’d been running an automotive mechanic shop. While I'd have fought tooth and nail to defend my home, their advanced technology defeated us with ease. The abominations stole our oceans, altered the land to remove our blighted creations, and stuck us in stasis pods to do with as they pleased. The rushed tutorial that revealed all this left me with a million unanswered questions about how they altered the planet—and me.

Harry Wollenstein is a regular guy. He loves his ranch, his dogs, and beer. He's just a normal dude except that he makes his living fighting in brutal virtual wars. For him, money is short, and like everyone, he needs to make enough to get by. When a huge battle is announced in the capital city New Eden, Harry will do anything to qualify. The only problem is that battles are controlled by Overseers, and Harry has some history with the Overseer of New Eden. Things aren't going to be easy for him.

Jack defeated the hideous monster in the Three Rivers and then left for Carthun, a new land where he might be able to meet characters...like himself. In the small village, everyone he’d met was an NPC. Despite that, he'd made friends and learned a great deal. Arriving in Carthun, Jack quickly makes friends with a few characters, and together they form a party. In the game world, Jack knows knowledge is power, and the more he learns, the better equipped he’ll be the next time somebody comes after him.
