Time is one of the most precious gifts that the Lord has given man. In giving people the gift of time, the Lord has ensured that no one may consider himself specially favored or disfavored. In his wondrous love, God has given the president of a populous nation and a simple street sweeper in that nation the same number of hours per day: 24. The president has not been given a 48 hour day while the street sweeper has been given a 24-hour day.

The messages in this book were given as the last of a series of meetings called leadership courses for the people of God in Cameroon. At the time of preparing the messages I felt that I owed it to the Lord and his people to say all that was on my heart in case it was not possible for the audience to hear me in the future. I thought I should say my last word to the Church. Here it is. I have borrowed extensively from the thoughts of Watchman Nee in writing the message “The Cross and Our Priorities.” I believe that the Cross is central in the life and ministry of the believer.

If you are a child of God who still commits sin deliberately, committing the same sin over and over, it is because your eyes have never been opened to see that sin is a knife thrust willingly into God's heart; your eyes have never been opened to see the harm that sin causes in every domain of your life.

There is one fundamental test of love. There is one way of proving whether a person loves the Lord or not. This test is obedience. Those who love the Lord obey Him. All who are disobedient to Him do not love Him. In this book, we present the nine marks of a disciple, an extended excerpt from The Making of Disciples by the author. They are drawn from the Word of God. Listen to each one carefully and answer the questions that follow.

The Way of Loving the Lord is very different from many of the books in the Christian Way series. It is not an attempt to present the Bible’s position on some aspects of Christian truth. Rather, it is an expression of the yearning, longing - the spiritual emotions of my heart - after the Lord Jesus. I believe that there are some who yearn in an increasing way for the Lord, and in whose hearts the evidence of his soon coming awakens, with each passing day, greater desires to see him - the Hope of the Ages – face-to-face.

The messages in this audiobook, were given to brethren from all over Cameroon in Yaoundé at a critical point in the work. There was a real increase in numbers of those who were turning away from their sins and becoming new creatures in Christ. Many young people were beginning to receive ministry gifts and to minister in the churches. There was a need for a fresh look at the ministry and the ministers as revealed in the New Covenant.

Most of the world is lazy. Too many believers are idle. Few attain their God-given potential. The kingdom suffers because of the too many spectators who are said to be soldiers in the army of the Lord. The loss to God, to the kingdom of God, and to the lazy person that is caused by the sin of laziness is beyond measure. Must things continue that way? I do not think so. Laziness is a deadly sin. The one who commits this sin can be delivered. That is what this book is about. May the Lord bless you as you listen to it! Amen.

In this book we present the greatness of God as the father of all goodness, and show the pilgrim how to know him. We have thought over these messages for over 10 years. We send them out with prayer that they bring great blessings to God's people.

There are other people whose sicknesses are deeper than the physical dimension. They are crippled by fear, bitterness, jealousy and the like. Psychologists are doing the best that they can to provide answers for these people. However, Jesus is God's answer to all of man's need of healing and health. He is the right answer for these people. He has provided in his death, resurrection, and enthronement, all that man needs for total healing at all levels.

The Lord has wrought something in my life between 1990 and today, largely in the area of deliverance from sin, deliverance from self, deliverance from the love of the world, deliverance from the love of the things of the world, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the knowledge of the Lord. I now feel that I can write the book, though with fear and trembling, and not from a position of perfection, but from the position of one who has received unmerited grace to write it.

This audiobook, The Way of Life, being the first book in the series, has, as its theme, the way into the Christian life, the way into Jesus Christ, the way into God: the way of life. It is written specially to help you to find the Lord Jesus, give yourself to Him, and then, you will truly begin to live. People must be led. When there is a leader, he is followed. The spiritual leader is the one who has made the most progress in knowing God and is serving Him. Such a person has authority with God which no one can take away from him. No one can remove him from leadership. No one can put him into leadership. His intimate knowledge of God, his close walk with Him, his sacrificial service for the Lord and His people, put him apart from the others, and those who want true spiritual leadership turn to him. This is my understanding of spiritual leadership.

Christian character is all-important. The Lord Jesus wants all his disciples to be like him in their character. He has put the Holy Spirit in each believer to work out that character. Only those whose character conforms in every way to that of the Lord Jesus can be said to be truly, entirely sanctified. This audiobook is about the character of Christ in the life of the Christian.
