Life can be challenging at times. I pray for clarity on situations, so I’m not in limbo. At some point in our life, we will reach crossroads and don’t know which way to go. When that happens, we want that cool big sister that’s going look out and keep it real. Sometimes, we need that rawness and accountability with love.

One of the most famous, and important, intellectuals to hail from Denmark is Niels Bohr, a world-famous physicist and one of the patriarchs of quantum theory. Given the vibrant, peaceful haven that is Denmark today, it’s somewhat ironic that Bohr played an instrumental role in the development of the atomic bomb. Even so, the truth and depth of the matter, much like the self-professed pacifist himself, is far more complex.

The tens of millions who perished in the First World War – not to mention the horrendous turmoil that culminated in the outbreak of its successor – understandably marred the conception of the first decades of the 20th century.
