Poetry Style

This poem is a mixture, based around the fictional video game series and the real assassins founded by Hassan-e Sabbāh in 1090 and other embellishments.

يندرج ديوان (أنغام الخلود: شاعرة الوداد) للشاعرة الإماراتية هند بنت سعيد بن هلال الظاهري ضمن سلسلة تعنى بنشر الشعر الشعبي الإماراتي الذي يشكّل تسجيلاً لمشاعر الناس في حقبة تاريخية مهمة من تاريخ دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. يضم الديوان مجموعة من القصائد والقطع الشعرية التي تتناول موضوعات متنوعة، ويشكل استمراراً للغة الشاعرة الأصيلة، ويحتوي صياغات وتراكيب شعرية فريدة، فالشاعرة معروفة بخبرتها في مجال الشعر الشعبي وهي مثالٌ يقتدى به للشاعرات من الجيل الجديد. أسلوبها متين ومنسبك، وينسجم مع الذوق التقليدي الموروث في صياغة الشعر، وتمتلك القدرة على تصريف المفردات والعبارات بما يناسب سياقات القصيدة.

Invictus is stoicism encapsulated in a poem. It is a potent piece by William Ernest Henley, first published in 1888. The poem is short. yet highly motivational. It oozes gems pertaining to perseverance, willpower, and an unconquerable spirit. A powerful pithy poetic pep talk.

In 2023, the author unexpectedly immigrated to Poland; remaining so to be close to his young son. Originally published in 1923, the book begins with a man named Almustafa living on an island called Orphalese. Locals consider him something of a sage, but he is from elsewhere and has waited twelve years for the right ship to take him home. From a hill above the town, he sees his ship coming into the harbor, and realizes his sadness at leaving the people he has come to know. The elders of the city ask him not to leave. He is asked to tell of his philosophy of life before he goes, to speak his truth to the crowds gathered. What he has to say forms the basis of the book.
