Many people who call themselves Christian say that they found their magical moment or revelation in church services, through spiritual conversation with their family members or friends, or when their feet touched the cold sand of the beach.

This poem, written in simple, straightforward diction, presents the blood-smeared history of human cruelty, in the backdrop of which, despite hopelessness, there is yet enough sparkle of hope to make a man stand up again. Actually, it's the quality of our native tradition which has been conveyed through a unique mode of expression.

The Summit is the story of Mallery, a young woman who hides her ideas in a book beneath her pillow. More specifically, it is about my suicide attempt in 2019, after years of struggling with alcoholism, depression, and self-harm. It's about my second chance and making it all that it can be. It uses my writing from before my attempt and after my attempt to compare how I changed and my views of life.

I Wonder When You Knew is a collection of poems, prose, song lyrics, and other writings collected from my high school days through the present time. They describe my experiences, perceptions, and philosophy of love and life. Half of the entries are autobiographical, the others fictional. These writings reflect my own adventures interacting with those people, places, and things that I have loved in my life. I hope that those who listen to these words share some of the same feelings that I have had.

UnRee Deemed: The Unwanted Daughter of a Pedophile was written as a fictional truth. The president of our Mission Group, Sister Margaret Washington asked me to write a Easter play. After talking it over with my cousin Gayle, who is a play writer, we came up with an ideal. We didn’t want it to be typical where the story simply reported about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, but we also wanted to show characters who desperately needed God’s plan of salvation.

When she met client, Susan Taylor, she realized she’d departed from God, needed to repent, and it turned her life upside down.
