La poésie amoureuse serait née avec Orphée qui, accompagné de sa lyre, chanta son amour à la belle Eurydice... De l'Antiquité à nos jours, dire l'amour n'a cessé d'être la préoccupation des écrivains et poètes. Pablo Neruda, ganador del Premio Nobel de Literatura, terminó de escribir Los versos del Capitán en 1952 mientras estaba en el exilio en la isla de Capri, paradisíaco escenario de la exitosa película Il Postino.
