Dies ist der vierte Band von den neuen Abenteuer des Sherlock Holmes: Über Jahre hinweg begleitete Dr. John H. Watson seinen Freund und Kompagnon Sherlock Holmes bei der Aufklärung einer Vielzahl von Verbrechen und Geheimnissen. Beginnend mit den 1880er Jahren und in das 20. Die Abenteuer des Sherlock Holmes (Originaltitel: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes) sind eine Sammlung von zwölf Kurzgeschichten von Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Die Geschichten wurden ursprünglich von Juli 1891 bis Juni 1892 im Strand Magazine veröffentlicht, der Sammelband mit Illustrationen von Sidney Paget erschien am 14. Oktober 1892 in Großbritannien und am 15. Oktober 1892 in den USA. Im Zentrum der Handlung stehen Sherlock Holmes und Dr. John Watson, die seltsame Verbrechen aufklären. Dabei bedient sich Holmes seiner Methode von Deduktion, die ihn so gut wie immer an das gewünschte Ziel bringt.

When the body of a child is found in Paris, Interpol involvement is resented by Inspector Le Fur - a proud French man who believes that the inquiry should be carried out on French soil. The Final Problem is a short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring his detective character Sherlock Holmes. It was first published in Strand Magazine under the title "The Adventure of the Final Problem" in December 1893. It appears in book form as part of the collection The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. This story, set in 1891, introduced Holmes's archenemy, the criminal mastermind Professor James Moriarty. Conan Doyle later ranked The Final Problem fourth on his personal list of the twelve best Holmes stories. Holmes arrives at Dr. John Watson's residence one evening in a somewhat agitated state and with grazed and bleeding knuckles.

The Valley of Fear is the fourth and final Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is loosely based on the Molly Maguires and Pinkerton agent James McParland. The story was first published in the Strand Magazine between September 1914 and May 1915. The first book edition was copyrighted in 1914, and it was first published by George H. Doran Company in New York on 27 February 1915, and illustrated by Arthur I. Keller. The novel starts with Sherlock Holmes receiving a cipher message from Fred Porlock, a pseudonymous agent of Professor Moriarty.

First, they must uncover the clues which will lead them to her workplace, hoping to connect with someone who can take them to Olivia.
