Lives can suddenly be sent crashing down when images, conversations, smells, or sounds begin to remind us of something that is now associated with a traumatic event of that time. Emotional trauma increases the feeling of shame inflicted many years ago. Families hid it and never spoke about it, fearing that the trauma would shed disgraceful light on the survivor - the syndrome of "we don’t air our dirty laundry”.

The normal human way of doing things is rife with inefficiencies. It means starting a new writing project and blankly staring at your screen, waiting for inspiration to hit you. It means reading books at such a slow pace that you never have time to finish them in your busy schedule. It means having a capricious mind that jumps from one distraction to the next, stifling your ability to learn and retain information. To become superhuman is to achieve superhuman memory, reading, and writing skills.

Forget the Technique; Just Speak - The Final Drills from Slow to Sprint focuses purely on drilling. The drill starts with single letters and expands gradually into very long words. The exact same set of letters and words is repeated three times at increasing speeds - slow, very fast, and sprint. In moving to the next level and fully incorporating this technique into our speaking, we want to, in a sense, “forget the technique” and just speak freely. If you run into trouble in any areas with any particular sounds, you can always go back to the technique.
