Sekter findes overalt i vores samfund, men de kan være svære at få øje på. De eksisterer dog i bedste velgående, og der er mange. I serien SEKTENS GREB fortæller tidligere medlemmer fra blandet andet Jehovas Vidner, Faderhuset, og Evangelist/Powerhouse om deres vej ind og ud af et sekterisk miljø. Vi går bag om de problematikker, som sekter skaber. Digitalisierung bedeutet daher auch, dass Kirchen und Religionen immer weniger als unabhängige Akteure erscheinen, sondern als Varianten von "Religion" insgesamt wahrgenommen werden. Gegen den Trend zur globalen Vereinheitlichung stemmen sich religiöse Fundamentalisten, die seriöse Wissenschaften, freiheitliche Gesellschaften und andere Religionen bekämpfen.

Christian Fundamentalism is a doctrine and a discourse in tension. Fundamentalists describe themselves as both marginal and a majority. We're made to look passive, dissociated, and defeated. If we're not pot-bellied beer drinkers or egoistic morons, no one wants to watch the broadcast. What happened to John Wayne, Matt Dillon, and G.I. Joe? Men who knew their strengths, understood their roles, believed in hard-nosed Christian values. Well, they're not dead; in fact, they're alive and well buried inside each one of us, waiting to emerge like the heroes they are. All they need is a reminder of what our God-given nature is.
