Når man finder en sjov metaldims på jorden, er det nemt at få en god idé. Så Villads og hans ven, Alexander, går straks i gang med at samle metaldimser nok til at bygge en robot. Men som alle, der kender Villads ved, udvikler hans idéer sig tit lidt anderledes, end han havde forestillet sig. Villads’ mor har fødselsdag, og hvad er mere oplagt end at give hende en robot lavet af metaldimser? Men hvordan er det lige, man får dimserne til at sidde sammen? Og hvordan får man overhovedet en robot til at bevæge sig?
