But Where Are You Really From? is a thought-provoking book about identity from CEO of Christian Aid, Amanda Khozi Mukwashi. Through telling the story of her experience as a Christian black woman with Zambian heritage, born and living in the UK, she explores issues of race and culture and how it feels to be judged on skin colour when identity is made up of so many things.

Far, far away, yet not too far so as to defy belief, there lived two brothers. They were playing on a hillside one day, when the skies grew dark. The clouds rolled in, and lightning began to strike. Wanting to be included is a universal longing. We have struggled to find our place in life. We have watched our kids struggle to find theirs. Although this book addresses gender identity, it is for anyone who has felt excluded in life. Our hope is to provide community and safe spaces for expressing daily struggles in life.
