Before they entered the dungeon, there were plenty of warnings to suggest that Kandis Hammond and her Adventurers Guild companions were in for a world of chaos. The elves referred to it as the "Fortress of Unending Nightmare," and the entrance elevator caught fire just as the group stepped out of it. Now, with the dungeon intelligence, Axel, maniacally declaring they're going to have "so much fun," there's no telling what surprises are in store.

Commander Jay Luckrun is a bit more than a dorky weirdo these days. He's a dungeon crawler of the multiverse and a relentless killer of thousands of men and monsters. People think he's to blame for the spread of the apocalypse, too! Some of that might be true, but Jay still thinks of himself as a hero of comedy. But when a secretive group of villains gets empowered by the System and attacks the people close to Jay, he might have to lean into his infamy more. He might have to go all out to seek vengeance.

Hugh Logan and the other human cores of the expeditionary force are back home, but the cost of keeping their allies alive has been a heavy one. Not happy about losing their prey, the Ssath continue to use the vast resources at their disposal to seek total victory over humanity. They will stop at nothing until Earth’s cores are defeated and the planet is transformed into a feeding ground and hunting preserve.

The addition of an administrator for the Safe Zone as well as someone to coordinate its defenses finally allows Marc to feel like he can go out and do other things.

Mark and the ones he loves are forced to explore an abandoned space resort until a connection is made that opens an alternate path. With the help of his Enthralled, he finally steps out of his ChronoMind immersion rig and back into the real world. The battlefield becomes much wider as Mark, Ahnix, Vale, and Roo must make new friends and face dangerous enemies across both digital and post-apocalyptic landscapes before they can hope to find the peace they deserve.

During her first weeks in the deeply immersive VR game, Relic Online, she’s hacked out a home from a choking jungle, gathered a tribe of loyal followers, and earned a wisp stalker who insists she’s some kind of champion.
