Für drei Junge im DonnerClan ist die Zeit gekommen, zu Schülern ernannt zu werden: Häherpfote, Löwenpfote und Distelpfote brennen darauf, endlich Krieger zu sein und Schlachten für ihren Clan zu gewinnen. Als Enkel des großen Anführers Feuerstern verfügen alle drei über besondere Kräfte und Talente. Doch eine mysteriöse Prophezeiung sagt ihnen und dem DonnerClan eine düstere Zukunft voraus.

Unbekannte Territorien, ein neues Lager und viele aufregende Entdeckungen - die Katzen des DonnerClans sind vollkommen mit der Erkundung ihrer neuen Heimat beschäftigt. So merkt keine, wie die junge Heilerin Blattsee sich mehr und mehr in eine verhängnisvolle Liebe verstrickt. Als Heilerin ist es ihr nicht erlaubt, einen Gefährten zu haben.
